Printing Process - Start to Finish

Ever wonder how a t-shirt design is created start to finish?  Below is all you need to know to understand how we can take a design and create the perfect custom design just for you!

Step 1:  Provide your own art or have our design team help you conceptualize and design art for you.

Step 2:  Your art file is then color separated to make film positives.  This process of color separation is telling the design software which color areas in the design become a screen.

Step 3:  Metal frames covered with an acrylic mesh fabric are created and these mesh screens are the screens used for screen printing.

Step 4:  Each garment is loaded on a screen printing pallet and then the garment makes it's way around the press stopping at each station where each color is printed.  This popular process applies ink directly onto the garment using a squeegee that pulls the ink across the stencil on the mesh screens.

Step 5:  Once every color has been printed you should have a complete design!  At this point your garment is removed from the pallet and is placed on a conveyor belt that travels through a dryer.  The garment is exposed to a high enough temperature in this dryer to cure the ink on the garment... and Wahla you have a custom printed design on the perfect garment!
